One of the Englands most successful flight search engines, Cheapflights, has arrived in Australia with its official launch.

Cheapflights.com.au will feature deals from Expedia, Zuji, Best Flights, Qantas Holidays, STA Travel and travel.com.au.

Based on the UK model, the site enables customers to compare flights from a number of sources, direct from airlines, consolidators, traditional retailers and online agencies. It provides users with details of flights and packages by date, ‘hot deals' and travel guides.

Cheapflights chief executive Chris Cuddy said the aim was to make the site a "highly effective and independent marketing partner to budget airlines, consolidators, online travel agents and the long tail and specialist high street travel agents".

Each advertiser pays Cheapflights for a click through to their site or offer.
